Privacy Policy.

This policy explains how UPrint Global CC (“UPrint”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, shares and protects your personal information when you visit uprintsoftware.com, contact us, or use UPrint RIP software. We are based in Durban, South Africa and sell worldwide.

We are the responsible party and data controller for the information described here. Questions go to shirley@uprintglobal.com.

• What you type into the contact form or send us by email or WhatsApp: your name, email address, company, country, which printer you run, and your message.
• Your purchase details, collected by Paddle when you buy. See section 5.
• Activation information, when you activate the software: the email address on the licence and a fingerprint of the computer it is activated on. The fingerprint exists so one licence runs one computer. It is not a tracking identifier and we cannot read anything else on your machine with it.

We do not ask for or store payment card numbers, identity numbers or passwords on this website.

This website does not run an advertising or analytics tag, and it does not set tracking cookies of its own. Two third parties may set cookies when you use their part of the service:

• Paddle, when you open the checkout, so it can process the payment and prevent fraud.
• Netlify, our website host, for delivering pages and protecting the contact form from spam.

• To reply to your enquiry and send you a trial code if you asked for one.
• To issue, activate, renew and support your licence.
• To tell you about a new version of the software you own. We do this by email to the address on the licence.
• To meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations.

We rely on your consent when you submit a form, and on performing our contract with you once you own a licence. We do not sell your personal information.

• Paddle.com is the merchant of record for every software sale. Paddle collects your payment and billing details directly, is the controller of that information for its own purposes, and issues your invoice. We receive the order and the email address to send the licence to, never your card number.
• Netlify hosts this website and receives contact form submissions.
• Our email provider handles the messages we send and receive.

We may also disclose information if the law requires it. We never sell your personal information.

Enquiries are kept while we are dealing with them and for a reasonable period afterwards. Licence and activation records are kept for as long as the licence exists, because they are what lets us reissue it or move it to a new computer, and then for as long as tax and accounting law requires. When information is no longer needed we delete or anonymise it.

Depending on where you live, including under South Africa’s POPIA and the UK and EU GDPR, you have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you.
• Ask us to correct or update it.
• Ask us to delete it, where we are not required to keep it.
• Object to or restrict certain processing, and withdraw consent.
• Ask us to stop emailing you at any time.

To exercise any of these, email shirley@uprintglobal.com. You can also complain to the Information Regulator in South Africa or to your own data protection authority. For anything Paddle holds about your payment, contact Paddle directly.

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information against loss, misuse and unauthorised access. The site is served over HTTPS and licence activation runs over an encrypted connection. No transmission over the internet is completely secure, but we work to keep your data safe.

We sell worldwide. If you contact us or buy from outside South Africa, your information may be processed in South Africa and by our providers in other countries. We take steps to keep it protected wherever it is handled.

This software and this website are intended for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

We may update this policy. The date at the top of this page shows when it last changed, and the current version is always published here.
